Our mission was to condense this vision into a wordmark and icon that PSBLTY could use across all their channels to identify and set themselves apart in the industry.
Creating a modern classic - get off the trend-line
Us designers need to balance staying relevant with creating pieces that last more than 5 minutes. Because PSBLTY occupies a more corporate space, they needed a word mark that meant business and had a more serious vibe without seeming staid and fusty. We went with a classic font, Helvetica Neue, and added a few little touches to set it apart.
Something as simple as joining the last two letterforms and opening up the initial 'P'can create a substantial difference in the way a word mark is perceived subconsciously. Take a look at some classic word marks and you'll start to notice that it's those small details that give a brand's stamp a crafted and thoughtful aesthetic.
